How do I audit my source code?

I found a pretty cool productivity app that fits my workflow perfectly, but when I looked at the version history, the last update was released over two years ago. The interface still runs fine on my current device, but I’m worried that using abandoned software might expose my phone to hidden security vulnerabilities over time. Should I delete the tool and look for an alternative, or is it fine to keep using it if it isn't broken?

Using abandoned software is definitely a massive digital security hazard because outdated code rarely protects your files against newer mobile exploit methods. When a creator stops pushing regular maintenance patches, it usually means they are no longer monitoring their database for potential server leaks or configuration bugs. There is an excellent perspective on why software update cycles matter over at https://www.inkl.com/news/one-minute-source-audit-who-runs-the-app-how-it-s-updated-and-how-to-reach-support that you can browse. It explains the risks clearly.
